Rarely eat much processed foods and haven't eaten any fast food for almost a decade. Almost all organic if possible. I make my own seitan but sometimes have Amy's California veggie burgers. I am hoping with some encouragement and switching to a calorie based diet instead of points helps. I am worried my protein intake may not enough but I guess I'll have time to figure that out.

I would eat mostly fruits and veggies abnd some beans, skip the grains. Eat lots of salads and green smoothies.

I wouldn't think overeating fruit would be an issue. Fruit is mostly water and fructose that burns off pretty quickly with activity and I would think that 90 minutes of surfing would burn quite a bit. I would bump up the exercise and see what processed foods you are eating. If you are eating a lot of prepackaged food I would cut that out for whole foods and see if that helps.

I have been doing weight watchers points. The only thing I can think I am over eating is fruit. I was logging everything but plain veg and fruit. I am changing to a calorie based diet today and logging everything. I work out regularly, but 3-4 times a week must not be enough so I will go to 6 days a week, on top of that I surf (when there is surf) I drink lots of water and usually get enough sleep. I am 48 so I believe that is part of my problem.

I mostly am frustrated because yesterday I worked out with a friend for 30 mins, surfed for 90 mins and thought I ate super clean(totally kept to my points) and GAINED a pound. I had a bit of a mental break down....and had to vent

Welcome to the team!

the only advice I can offer without any information is to track everything you put in your mouth and move your body. If you are within your calorie range then get your body moving with some sort of exercise. Find something you love and do it.

Sorry your having such problems. Im not alergic to soy. But i need to loose weight. I hae discovered with out realizig its really easy to over eat some foods with out thought. For an example nuts. I found the best thing. Always measure or weigh your food an on here ot a note book become accountable by bein hnest an write your food youv eaten down. Pretty quick you discover your problem. An by keeping this up you may solve the problem.

I dont know exactly what you are eating. Also if you are on meds or drinking enough water or getting enough sleep. Until those factors are known i cant help.

Soy is a GMO product. Most people are having problems with it.

New to the team and struggling with losing weight. Been vegan for 16 years, soy allergic for 4. I HAVE to lose 6 lbs by May 10th to fit into a bidesmaids dress and been working out and watching points but have not lost 1 frickin pound. emoticon
