For release: October 1, 2010
The Fogelman College of Business & Economics has unveiled a new program to try to improve the general health of its students. The program was launched on September 22, during the FCBE Open House in the lobby of the Fogelman Classroom Building, and included fitness demos, nutrition displays, challenge sign-ups, and giveaways. Students who registered for the program also received a free t-shirt.
Fogelman Fit is a coordinated effort to enhance student health and wellness, and is supported by the FCBE, the Department of Health and Sport Sciences, and other campus and professional organizations. The initiative will promote healthy eating and physical activity with an emphasis on small steps toward better health.
Fogelman Fit will offer ongoing wellness activities and challenges (with prizes for participation) throughout the semester. All FCBE students, faculty, and staff have been encouraged to participate.
