LIVINMYDREAMS I had to go down with my calories also. I am now between 1200 and 1450 a day. Most of the time its in the 1400 range but some days its in the 1200's. I have also went to eating later in the day before I was making myself eat about 7am now I eat when I am ready which is between 10 and 11am. I have a snack about 3pm(if I want it) and supper about 6pm or so. This works better for me than making myself eat because the clock says its time to eat. Before I was eating more because it was time to eat not because I was hungry really. This is what so many on the Atkins website preaches that you need to do but it was not what I needed to do. They also throw that 1500 to 1800 calories a day in your face but I find that not everyone need that many the way so many on there says they do,just because its in the book as a starting point, then they like to tell you to add calories on top of that if your not losing where the book says that you may have to reduce calories if you not losing.

After about two weeks of this my low number has went down a pound this moring. That is after a few weeks of going up and down the same 3 pounds. There has been days where i wanted to say, oh heck with it but I hung in there and made some changes. Stalls are upsetting for sure.

This is the link to the Atkins website. even tho I dont fully do it the atkins way anymore I do still eat from the atkins food list/eat. I just count carbs different than they do.

Hi and welcome!

I think one of the most powerful things about checking in here every day is that it makes you think every single day about your priorities and help you make good choices! Hope to see more of you! Feel free to jump in on our monthly challenge thread too. No need to wait for July!

As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a man with seven wives,
Each wife had seven sacks,
Each sack had seven cats,
Each cat had seven kits:
Kits, cats, sacks, and wives,
How many were there going to St. Ives?

I recently tweaked my calories down to about 1,300 - 1,400, but I do tend to end up between 1,500 - 1,600 because I tend to eat a lot of fat and red meat lately. But my scales are starting down in the right direction. Never hungry now, and sometimes I feel like I am forcing myself to eat just to get my nutrients in for the day. I feel like I am in my zone area now. Carbs are around 30 - 40 net. Maybe 50 carbs total for the day. Added berries back in for breakfast. I am one happy camper since eating all the fatty foods. emoticon

No calories were/are down! LOL! No food here to tweak them up with! Kind of depressing but I'm living with it! Hopefully my daughter will bring me something! Otherwise I can't get out shopping till Saturday! S'pose I could get delivery!

calories were down, it was hard to eat what I craved, I've got a group home gal in the hospital and I'm short staffed and have to eat what's here. Nothing was low fat though! LOL!

That's fantastic weight loss! I have been doing low carb now for about a month with only 3 pound weight loss, but I have a 10 inches loss. I am a slow loser, and I am tweaking things a bit now with my calorie intake and am noticing a change for the better. So I am expecting more substantial weight loss now. I had a weight stall for about 2 weeks. Very frustrating! But the scales are starting to move downward very slowly now after tweaking the calories.

Sounds like you are doing just great. emoticon

I have been on this team for awhile, silently observing. I figured it was about time to introduce myself. I have lost before on the low carb eating way back when. then I quit doing and went back to counting calories and lots of exercising. which got me nowhere.. now after much frustration with my weight and my health I am back to doing atkins and I have lost 11 pounds in one month.
