Hey, y'all. Checking in from Atlanta, GA. I've been a member of Spark for years now, but I've only been active off and on. Same thing with low carb. I lost 30 pounds the first time, then between leaving ROTC, an injury, postponed college graduation and depression, my good habits slipped away. I gained back all the weight and then some. Now, seven years later, I'm at my heaviest ever and pretty much disgusted with myself for letting it get this bad.
Atkins worked for me before, so all I want to do is stick with it again and maintain the lifestyle this time. My long term goal is to lose 100 pounds and run a 10K. More immediately, I'd like to lose at least 10 pounds by my birthday next month (4/23) and walk or Kinect for half an hour most days. I want to cross the halfway mark (50 pounds) by the time I start law school in the fall.
I'm going to try to check in here pretty much every day and do the whole mutual pep talk thing. Go us! =)
