Learning that it is good to eat fat is really the hardest part. I was terriefied. I started out eating turkey burgers and leaner meats. Now? I chow down on the highest fat burgers and steak! But, it takes time to get over the fear.
Sometimes it is wise to limit protein to a certain amount otherwise if you have too much it can turn into glucose or act that way in our body. I just read that a good range is about 70-149 grams of protein. Also fat is a good thing. Be sure and get plenty of it. That is what keeps you satiated. Some people even do up to 85% fat. Don't be afraid of it. Don't worry about calories for now. Just eat on plan what you need to fell satisfied.

Welcome! I'm new to low-carbing, but I think others will back me up on this. You should limit your carb intake, but not worry about the amount of protein or fat consumed. It's all about feeling satiated and energized.

Looking forward to learning tips and gaining support from others that have been doing Atkins. First question... I assume one needs to change the food tracker to desired number of carbs. Does anything else need changed as well? (proteins, fats, etc.)
