Please eat freely of fat and keep your protein levels down near what you actually need. Low carb shouldn't be especially high protein, excess can be turned into glucose which kind of defeats the purpose.
I'm borderline hypo as well and low-carb works much better than anything else. I've also found out that eliminating dairy for the most part (still in the process) seems to cut down inflammation in my body overall which probably helps my thyroid. Great you had good initial success. Often some of it is water at first so don't worry if your weight loss comes to a temporary halt, it must means water loss regained as it should.
You can talk to God all you want and that's great, but the changes happen when you start listening to him.
New to this board and just wanted to share my woes of weight loss. For years I have struggled with weight gain and finally discovered I have Hypothyroidism. All diets have failed except low carb. I have managed to lose 7 lbs in 2 wks. I think this is manageable for me as hypothyroidism is known to slow down weight loss. The up side of low carb is I can eat freely of protein and include healthy vegetables. The down side is getting past the craving for sweets. I have done ok so far and hope to continue this journey.
