I tend to like instant results so i never seem to have the patience to measure myself. But now i wish i had as im sure i am shrinking (as some of my clothes dont seem as neat on me) although just as heavy. People are saying to me that i am looking more toned, even though i cannot see it myself. This i think is my main problem, unless I CAN see it then i dont believe it.

Ensure you are taking this weight loss journey for you and no one else, and you will have given yourself a head start.

That's a really good reminder, OONARHOADES. I stopped measuring inches because they weren't changing much. I should do them again since I am getting serious about kettlebells. I can feel my body working!

Welcome to the team. I'm kinda new too. I have found this team to be very supportive and encouraging. If you're not losing weight, are you losing inches? I joined curves quite awhile back and was losing weight at first and then stopped but I continued to lose inches. It was turning fat into muscle. Try measuring yourself now and then try again in a couple of weeks. There's a place on sp for that!!! LOL

emoticon to the team! As you have probably learned, this is a journey. Not all the elements come together overnight. Your commitment to the gym is emoticon.

Have you tried substitutions on the food?
Instead of fries, popcorn (I use a light butter popcorn)
I think I'll start a topic about substitutions so we can share some good ideas.

Hi all,
I am new to the team and to spark. I am just finding my way (if you pardon the pun!) and i am loving spark, I find myself on spark on a daily basis and its just fabulous.
I have now been going to the gym for 24 weeks now and i must be the only person that can go to the gym for that length of time and still look excatly the same!!! The reason for this is......i cant stop eating junk food. BUT with my dedication of going to the gym every 2 days i am not putting on weight, which can only be a good thing.

Ensure you are taking this weight loss journey for you and no one else, and you will have given yourself a head start.
