Hi to all.......
I found the book at the library and was immediately hooked. I've been involved in may online forums but never one dedicated strictly to fitness and weight loss. Especially one that has no hidden agendas or costs. I am 52 years old and 50 lbs. overweight. I have been a yoyo dieter my entire life, in fact it's how I was raised.
I recently underwent shoulder surgery due to osteoarthritis from overwork. As if that weren't enough, I also fell and broke the "good" arm. I have been off of work for the last 8 weeks and go back on Monday.
I feel that this was a gift by some divine intervention. My goals are to make some changes in my eating and exercise habits which will ultimately bring me towrds my goal of losing 50 lbs. and MAINTAINING that loss. MAINTAINING is the key for me. I know HOW to LOSE weight....but I have yet to learn how to keep it off. It seems whenever things are going well and I am slowly steadily starting to lose, something derails me and I revert back to old habits.
It's time for a change.
I look forward to walking the path with some new friends. Hopefully we'll inspire, educate and support one another along the way.
