I know it is so hard trying to loose weight! I had seriously started trying in 2009, and I did, lost about 25 lbs, but I let the stress and wordly crap get to me, and made bad choices which led it to escalade. Sometimes you just have to throw the timeframe out the door and just know that this is a lifelong, life changing process, that sure, if it takes you two previous years to get to your goal, than thats what it takes. But you'll get there. You just have to keep trying, try harder, and not give up. :)
I read just about anything really, recent book I read was probably 'Do Hard Things', by Alex Harris.
I try to workout 30 mins a day, or at least every other day to start out. But as I progress and make one step a routine, then I add a little more. :)
