Welcome Dan! First thing to remember is taking it slow, one step, one goal, one day at a time! Drink plenty of water, it's a wonder drug! Also I suggest using the food tracker, you can update and change it to your personal preferences. I track cals, carbs, fats, proteins, sodium and fiber. The update key is near the top. The most important thing to remember to eat is breakfast, it is your kickstart for the day and your foundation for the rest of your meals. I eat small snacks throughout my day, carrots, apples bananas etc. There are a lot of resources here on SP, just start reading the articles, you get Spark points for everyone you read!

Stay encouraged!! You won't see change overnight but if you stick with it....changes will come gradually..if your serious about losing weight I would recommend using the trackers on here..I plan to start using them today...I'm sure you already know this one BUT drink water!

i plan to maake this the year i successfully lose weight. i have tried so many diets that don't work work. i'm 240 trying to get down to 200-210. my biggest downfall, is not knowing how to eat properly(sounds silly right). so anybody out there that has any guidance,advice,support, and words of wisdom please share. tired of being overweight and i want this to be the year i succed thank you dan
