Good luck on your journey. My counselor always told me You are not taking care of the people you love if you are not taking care of yourself. What if something happens to you. What would they do. You always should be your own number one priority. That is taking care of the people you love.

Hi Karen, You realize that your are not going to "diet". Diets never work! We are here for help so we can make this a lifestyle change! We are learning to replace new habits (choices) with old habits. We are changing our eating choices to healthy and hopefully this will include our family. You need to do this for yourself and be the leader for your family. It is a lot easier when the whole family is learning and following (joining) you.At the Spark we are in this together.

We welcome you on the journey of health. Together we will stand and succeed.

Hello Everyone

I just wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone. On Jan 1st I will offically be starting my new menu plan for a new me. I am a married stay at home mom of 4 kids ages 12, 8, 5 and 4. Until recently I was working as home daycare provider as well but due to a back injury I have been unable to work or exerices. My goal for 2011 is for me to start focusing more on me ( I always am putting other before myself and my health) to lose 1.5 lbs a week and by Dec 25, 2012 I hope to be down to my goal of 180lbs. I need to lose this weight to be able to get back surgey as well as get my diabetes and other health issues under control too!

I am looking for diet buddies to help me along the way too.. so if you would be interested in us supporting each other during our journey please feel free to contact me.
