Welcome to your SparkPeople Official 5K Your Way Walk/Jog Program and congratulations on your decision to RUN! It is my hope that I can help all of you in the beginning of your running journey. As I found out, there is so much more than simply lacing up your tennies and heading out the door. If you want to run for years to come, you will need to ease into your running gradually in order to remain injury free. That is where this wonderful program comes into play. It is designed to allow your body to adapt to the rigors of running that it will experience.
More than anything I want you to simply have fun with running. Once you experience that first 5k race you will be hooked! You will come home after finishing and look for another 5k to sign up for. Trust me.
