Hi 5k team!
I have been trying to lose weight for a while now and I am getting bored with my routine. I decdied that maybe it was time for something new. For a long time I knew that actual running was out of the question due to the fact that my knees tend to dislocate. But now that I have been lifting weights for about 2 years on and off, I haven't had a problem. I know I will have to start training on a treadmill first because of my knees, even on the elliptical sometimes my knees will hurt after and hour. Doing this 5 k seems to be helping my moitivation, which has always been hard for me. I have a goal other than the weight loss itself. I am hopping that I can run a race sometime in October.
