Welcome. Walking is one exercise we can do all our lives. I have a neighbor who walked 1 mile every day until just before his 100th birthday. He passed away in his sleep just days before his 100th so he was 99 but spry and healthy.
You can walk at any age. Remember to breathe, concentrate on technique at least some of the walk, find places you enjoy walking, have good shoes and replace them regularly (every 300-500 miles) and enjoy your surroundings. I have walked in some very interesting places and a lot of miles in my small town. Both have their place but I walk for enjoyment as much as for health so I don't worry as much about my speed as I might otherwise.
