WOW 500K would be over 300 miles. I am so proud of you. Congratulations. You might find this team a bit slow for you. There may be others like marathon training. or such. You should look them up, but what a challenge you will be.

Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.
You will never "find" time for anything. If you want time, you must make it.
A training program for a 5k is wonderful - - my favorite exercise is walking. In fact, shortly after my early retirement in April of this year, I set out to walk 500k as part of the Camino de Santiago. I walked with a 20 lb pack, and lots of newly made friends along the way.
I plan on returning in 2012, so having short goals as this one will help me keep my stamina high!
