Hello all!

I'm Liz Fawkes. I currently am desperately trying to get my dog to run with me. I used to run all the time before I spent some months in the hospital. I'm back out now and trying to get my heart, knees, and lungs used to running again. So far I'm doing well on my own. I can sprint-jog for near 30 - 60 seconds with barely a walk in between. But the problem I'm having is this... I have a very energetic big dog who needs his workouts too. He's the sweetest thing in the world, but he just LOVES to be chased. Whenever I try jogging he'll flip out and begin to jump. It's cute for about the first ten seconds then I have to spend another fifteen getting him to stop jumping on me. To give you an idea of what I'm dealing with... I'm 5'4" and he's as tall as me when he stands on his hind legs.

Any way. I hope to get myself back into shape for a marathon or two. I don't know if I'll be ready to do one in December, but I'm aiming for something sometime next year. Glad to be back on spark!
