I walked my 5K yesterday - in 65 minutes which was good for me as I have been walking a 20 minute mile at home. Woohoo! I have COPD so running in out but still happy I was able to finish in the time I did. DH was there cheering me on all the way.
I am only in Week 5 of my training but will be walking a 5K this weekend with my DH. It is a fund raiser and we will be walking on a trail we walked frequently when we lived in Kansas. I have wanted to walk it again and when the 5K came up, we signed up.
Wish us luck! We are not in it to win it but in it to finish. Finishing it will be the best reward.
So good to see the medical field has found us and is recommending us. For one - I have COPD and exercise daily. Finding Spark People was like finding a life jacket thrown out to me as I was drowning. It has been a God send for sure and I hope you can say the same. Weight loss is only one of the issues Spark People addresses. It is not all about the diet - it is about a total life style change.
