I made a Sparkpeople shirt and wore it to my first 5K yesterday. Check out my blog!

Janet, you are an inspriation. I love your priorities: chemo had better not get in the way of your exercise. Thanks.
GIGISPARKY~ I don't know about you, but I'm finding all the walking is helping during chemo. I actually did 6 miles the other day as I'm training for a half marathon in November. I actually feel worse when I don't get in my minimum 2 miles. I told my oncologist that chemo better not get in the way of my walking and racing... lol... His reply was go for it, just listen to your body. So that is what I'm doing.
I have a 5K this weekend and plan on enjoying every step.

Don't look at life as "you have to," view it as "you get to." It puts the fun back in things.
Good luck, you will make it
I just signed up and I am so excited about the great idea -- to have a virtual race. I plan to walk on October 30, wearing the SparkPeople t-shirt that I just ordered. I am walking half the 5K distance now, but I am not sure how much improvement my chemo treatments will allow, so I am shooting low and committing to only walking.
I hope that I will see others with their SparkPeople t-shirts!
