I never have been able to figure out how those work. I put one on and if I stand still and just make my legs go up and down as if I were walking it just picks up maybe half of the steps. I took it to the beach and tried to figure out where a mile was and couldn't because some of my steps were longer than others. I only found out how far I was going when I found the 'map your route' part of this site. I even tried it on the tread mill and came up with a different distance than the treadmill said. I was starting to think I would walk till I drop and call that a mile ;)) Hope you have better luck than I have with those things... Just remember to keep a smile on even if you do walk till you drop and it says you only took 3 steps~~~

Thank you for the warm welcome!. I will continue to do the DVD's and wear my Walk With Me DS pedometer, however for the last 2 days, it hasn't been tracking my steps, it was a real smack in the face :(

I do were my pedometer, and I had to do a 3 mile WATP to read close to 2.5 pounds.

ONEEVILANGEL~ Go for it with the DVDs. To make sure you get an accurate distance, you can wear a pedometer and base your distance on the number of steps during the workout. 2000 steps (average) per mile.

Hi all, I just saw this 5k your way program and couldn't leave without joining!. With my agoraphobia, leaving the house is obviously difficult, can I still join this team and 5k my way by walking along to Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds DVD's?.

I'm so excited about this!, Let's get to it!, Nice to meet you all
