I totally understand what you are saying!!! I have done a 5K in the past (quite a while ago) but only walked it. I have been working on my walking to average 16 min miles and plan to do a Virtual 5K in Sept. I am looking forward to that! My goal (at 47 and never being a runner before) is to RUN a 5K by next summer. So, I got a ways to go to train and to get more weight off too! Good Luck with your goal... YOU CAN DO IT! :)

Hi team! I'm...gonna do it. I know I can walk a 5K--I walk pretty regularly anyway. But I've never consciously said "I'm going to walk 5K." What I'd really like is to work my way up to jogging and (eventually!) running a 5K. Scary, eh? I'm so exited. :)
So I struggle with jogging, and running is pretty much out of the question at this point. But I figured I would start with the walking program and work my way up. I can do this, right? I can run a 5K if I stick with it.
I just need to stick with it.
