I've been on a low dose since August together with methotrexate, and I noticed a difference almost immediately. My labs are monitored but haven't had any trouble at all. I've never had much luck with herbals, but that's just me. Good luck!

Blessed be.

I totally understand, that is why I use it. It is called Minagin. It is completely natural, it's all herbal. I get it from a place called Herbal Lodge from Petosky Michigan, but it can be ordered online from Herballodge.com as well. They have another salve for dry itchy skin that works great, I use that all the time, too.

Can I ask what herbal salve you use ? I would rather use natural products rather than the medications that the doctors want to prescribe.

I am surprised the doctor would keep you on prendisone for that long. It can help your body with many things, but as I recall it can be very bad for your liver and long term use is not recommended. Talk to your doctor about other treatments. I use an herbal salve to help with the pain and it has made a big difference for me.

Hi Everyone, Just wondering if anyone on this site uses prednisone? I have been taking it for the past 1 1/2 years and just recently told the Doctor I wanted to try without it. I have slowly weaned off of it and now I am in so much pain. I do not like medication!! Is there anyone that has tried to go without your medications?. I have polymyalgia rheumatic, erythroymelalgia, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis and chondrocalcinosis.
