Thanks for the warm welcome. Do we normally post of this site or go to the other topics?

The physical therapy I do consists of different leg lifts (front, sides, back) with 2.5 ankle weights as well as a set of squats. I do them on the floor as well as sitting on the sofa depending on which exercise I am doing.

Hi and "welcome" to the new team members. Both of my knees are "bone on bone". I have trouble walking and doing the most simple chores. I am also in my 60's. You have a large selection of seated exercises on Sparkpeople. I also do the regular PT exercises. You can probably get them online, but your physical therapist can give you a copy of exercises to do. I have to do them every day or I cannot walk. On really bad days, I use a cane. I HATE CANES! I just want to be able to do simple things. I feel your pain and hope you get relief. This is a miserable way to live. The only thing I have to look forward to is surgery. But I just keep on trying to lessen the pain any way I can.

I'm in the same boat with my knees and am also very frustrated. I can't even straighten out one of my knees anymore.

Hi there and welcome to the team! Have you looked at any of the chair exercises here? Those may help keep the pressure down and still allow you to exercise and build some strength.

I am in my late 60's and have arthritis in both knees. I am so frustrated that I cannot do what I want to do because of knee pain. I do physical therapy almost every night so keep my muscles around my knees strong and am not overweight. I am looking for support in how to manage the pain.
