Welcome. Regarding yoga, have you checked out Rodney Yee's DVD's? He has a lot of shorter ones that are not strenuous. I am especially fond of AM Yoga, a 20 min video he does. Regarding inflammation and nutrition, I find eating healthy helps as does cutting back on sugar. Perhaps others can offer more ideas.
Hi, I'm old to SP, but new to this team. Diagnosed with OA earlier this year. Knees, mostly, but also hands, feet, elbows. I'm not ready to feel hopeless about OA and looking at a few posts here has already been encouraging. I've changed my workouts over the years as my pain has limited my mobility. currently, I'm swimming, biking and walking. I want to add yoga back in for strength and flexibility, but my old yoga dvd's are not friendly to may aches and pains. I'm also eager to hear how modifying my nutrition may reduce inflammation. I'm 51, married, with 2 kids ages 11 and 14. And, like most of us, probably, I feel like I'm too young for this. Thank you for posting your progress and what works.
