Bevie - don't forget to eat something every 2 1/2 - 3 hours! It's a biggie not to let yourself get hungry in between. The orange and string cheese is a great start!! Be sure to have another snack after supper as well to hold you through the night time - - helps to prevent any binges! If you know you can eat every 2 1/2 - 3 hours you aren't as apt to "pig out" at meal times. Just remind yourself that you get to eat again (within your caloriie range) in a couple of hours. Good luck on your journey.

Hi, thank you emoticon for the encouragement. I have mastered the tracking I just need to stay with what I tracked and not graze after dinner. I know what I need to do, but doing it is my problem. I am going back to doing my puzzles after dinner. Right now I am bored and looking for something to eat, but will take a book, two bottles of water and go on my porch swing and stay there until it is time to eat. I think I will bring an orange and a piece of string cheese to keep my boredom at bay. I don't ever get hungry so it is the boredom that gets to me. I have to channel other things to stay busy.

emoticon emoticon emoticon JPENTICUFF You have mastered two of your problems and you can whip this one too. All you have to do is believe in yourself that you can and move on from there. One day at a time. emoticon emoticon HAPPY THANKSGIVING. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Tracking food is a biggie!!! Be sure to measure also. Most of all, do not kick yourself if you happen to not do so well once in a while. We all have or have had a tendency to do that from time to time. Remember, you are human but together emoticon

I can relate. I have to stop eating the way I have been. I actually went back to tracking and sticking to it. I find if I track my foods at the beginning of the day, I have a tendency to stick to what I put down. I wish I could just eat the smaller amounts, but when food tastes good, I want to just keep eating till it is gone. I don't have the mechanism in my brain that tells me to STOP, I am full. I have to physically tell myself I am full and there are days I fight that all the time. I know there are some foods that I cannot have in the house. Chips and Ice Cream are my trigger foods, I just cannot stop eating. I bought 7 little ice cream cups, one for each night, and right....I ate all 7 in one night, so that is another no no. I tried putting chips in separate bags with the right amount of chips in each bag, and right, I sat there with 8 empty little bags in front of me. I know I sound like a little piggie, but I now know my limitations on certain foods and the ones I cannot have in my house. I don't eat sweets like candy, cakes or pies, so it is hard to give up food. My challenge is food grocery shopping. I need to make a list and stick to that list. Just think we can do this. One day at a time, we didn't put this extra weight on overnight so we have to be patient and do it one day at a time. If I lose one lb a week, that is 52 lbs and I would be happy with that. One gal came to our WW meeting and she lost 250 lbs, if she can do it, I can too, and so can you. Bev emoticon
