JANET You have come to the right team for support, advice friendship. understanding and just all out knowledge.. I agree that getting in a pool is very good for arthritis pain. relaxation and weight loss exercises.

Walking is great for arthritis. Also, if you can get to a pool it would do you a great deal of good also. Being in a pool is taking more weight off of your joints and yet getting the exercise as well. Also, drinking 4 oz of TART cherry juice has helped my husband with his OA and RA tremendously.

Hi, I am new to this site and having a difficult time to navigate to where I want to be. I am 71 and suffer from OA and try to keep busy through the pain. Getting up in the morning is my biggest challenge of the day or after sitting for a time. What I have figured out that works for me is I carry around a timer and set it for 30 min and when it goes off, I force myself to get up and walk around the house. I have tried all OC med and nothing seems to work, other than my trying to lose weight to get the pressure off the knees. Bev

I suffer from degenerative disk disease, torn miniscius in both knees, and oa of a 60 year old. I know I need to lose weight by dieting and excercising, but what I don't know is how to find an excercise plan that takes the conditions into account. I have been trying to be on my feet more and I am going to try walking everyday. I would love some feed back from anyone who suffers through this constant pain and is doing good.
