Welcome Julie! Hope this group is as helpful to you as it has been for me? I have had 2 complete knee replacements, have fibromyalgia, fibrocystics disease in my breasts, had a breast reduction done (5 lbs off each breast) and am now having problems with my lower back, right butt cheek and hip. This group has helped me cope with alot and given me great knowledge on the subject. ENJOY. emoticon emoticon emoticon

emoticon I can sypmisize with your problem I have a hip that sometimes gives out on me. So when I'm out & walking to where ever I have to I have to walk with my arm streached out to keep my balance. I'm known for snaping at some1 if they handle either of my SHOULDERS or the lower 1/2 of my left arm because the sentiveity to touch get to the PAIN is so bad I can't foucuse on what I'm swuppose to.

Hi! I am new to the team. I have been on and off of Sparks since 2009. This time I have been on consistently since Feb.
I was doing pretty good on losing weight and getting healthy. I was using the biggest loser videos to achieve this. I went to my doc with some concerns about pain in my knee when exercising. My knees have given me trouble since I was about 13 so I don't really feel everyday pain any more. She took an X-ray and then told me - not to do the videos, get in the water aerobics and put no more stress on my knees. Water aerobics not very accessible and I work full time so they don't fit my schedule. I was referred to a specialist but don't have an appt until Aug. So I decided to start walking. I have been walking to and from work - 1.6 miles one way. It seems to help but now my ankle is acting up. I have a foot doc apt. in July - was referred in March.
I am just really stressed by all the obstacles being put in my way by arthritis - so when I saw this team I knew I needed to join.
My name is Julie. I am in my late 30s. I work at a daycare. I have 2 children ages 16 and 21 and 1 beautiful granddaughter. I live in Southern Illinois.
