Hi! I am new to the team. I have been on and off of Sparks since 2009. This time I have been on consistently since Feb.
I was doing pretty good on losing weight and getting healthy. I was using the biggest loser videos to achieve this. I went to my doc with some concerns about pain in my knee when exercising. My knees have given me trouble since I was about 13 so I don't really feel everyday pain any more. She took an X-ray and then told me - not to do the videos, get in the water aerobics and put no more stress on my knees. Water aerobics not very accessible and I work full time so they don't fit my schedule. I was referred to a specialist but don't have an appt until Aug. So I decided to start walking. I have been walking to and from work - 1.6 miles one way. It seems to help but now my ankle is acting up. I have a foot doc apt. in July - was referred in March.
I am just really stressed by all the obstacles being put in my way by arthritis - so when I saw this team I knew I needed to join.
