Have been walking as much as I can....at least I can lift my foot now and "walk". Trying to do the leg lifts as instructed and lay down knees bent and pulling feet to butt as far as I can....now that one hurts when I bend knee. Still icing it as much as possible. One week and getting there...now the big challenge to lose some weight.
Rehab/PT really helps and it ensures you get the appropriate exercises that will not hurt but help you as well as advice.
Cycling is a good way to strengthen the quads - which support the knee - as well as not being weight bearing which makes it easier on the knee while strengthening the muscles that support it. And cardio!
New to this forum so any help appreciated. Sitting here with knee elevated after having knee surgery last Friday. Torn muniscus and lots of bone shavings cleaned out of right knee. Have to lose weight. For every 1 lb of weight I lose, takes 3 lbs of pressure off my knee. Trying to do exercises after surgery but really hurts yet. Any help/guidance to lose some weight would be greatly appreciated.
