I let myself have bad days... but I really have to keep up the short daily walking. even if I am tired or hurting ... I just walk slowly. but I keep nuts ( in small individual portions I get at Trader Joe's) Fresh fruit is always in my crisper. so a plum or pear from my trees, I even still have some in the crisper.. They are small but ... Ok.
Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things:... Psalm 98
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though... we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day my day....So fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal 2 COR 16-18
Doing nothing is the most perfect form of action, when I do nothing there is nothing left undone and there is nothing left to do.... The Way by Lao Tse
That is a good idea and I do that at home when I can. My mom lives with me and weighs all of 91 lbs and loves to have candy around, but I seem to be better at staying out of it there. Unfortunately yesterday, the junk food is in my classroom. I have a treasure chest for my student and sometimes there is candy in it. Some days it is just hard to stay out of it when I am tired and have work to do in the hour or more that I stay after the student's leave. I did better today and so I am happier with myself.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass; it is about learning to dance in the rain!
Try putting your junk food in the freezer - it usually doesn't taste good when it's cold and hard, and by the time it defrosts you usually won't want it any more. Will Power often needs a little help. Tomorrow is another day. Fran
