Hi, I wasn't expecting to find an ayurveda group here, but I'm glad I did. I live in S. Louisiana and the climate here is very hot and humid. I got interested in ayurveda years ago when I ran across it on the web and since I am interested in traditional medicines. I must say it works pretty well in some things, mostly chronic stuff and have not had any harmful experiences.

Hello, I am glad to have found this group on Spark! 'Was first introduced to ayurveda by Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar www.ayurthai.com/dr_suhas.html
while living on the island of Kauai. That was over six years ago. As I have taken a deeper interest in my health, diet, spirituality etc., Ayurveda is a component. 'Just became vegetarian on 10/10/10 and want to include ayurveda cooking and philosophy in my diet and lifestyle. I am going through the book Eat Taste Heal www.amazon.com/dp/0976917009/?tag=go
hydr-20&hvadid=4081226185&ref=pd_sl_R>74i0f124x6_e which I got when I was on Kauai from my Dr. Tom Yarema. I am kapha, and in my past have not been fond of vegetables and enjoy the taste of meat, so it is a challenge. I am one in transition and hope this group can help!
