I think I remember you, The Min. It's so good to have you back!!! I can't wait to see you on the boards. You're just in time for our monthly book list - whether you have one, or just need to check them our to see what others have read over the past month. I think Soaringphoenix, Connie, and EDU have bionic eyes, they read voraciously and quickly!!! God bless, Kim

HI ALL I USE TO BE ON THIS TEAM A GOOD WILE BACK AND THOUGHT I COME BACK. I AM GAYLE ALSO KNOWN AS THE MIN. I LOVE THE LORD AND I LOVE TO READ. LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING TO KNOW EVERYONE. THE MIN
I think we all joined too many teams in the beginning, Karla! You'll soon figure out which ones you most enjoy, and I hope our team is one of them.
Our team is pretty simple - we love to share about what we read and get ideas. Camp Accountability is a great thread for tracking, support, and just what it says - accountability. Kim is great at emphasizing the spiritual as well as the physical side. We also post our monthly reads on a booklist thread. So please jump in when you're ready.
What type of books and authors do you enjoy, Karla?

Karla, I'm so glad you found us! I tried quilting once. I was determined to do it by hand and ended up with a doll blanket! An aunt-in-law who was an avid quilter had done a falling blocks quilt and I loved it, so that is the one that I did. I finally conceded that quilting wasn't what I was good at, but I could crochet and so I crocheted a falling blocks afghan! Do you quilt with a sewing machine or by hand. Another AIL did many quilts, for cancer patients, by machine, until cancer finally took her life - she will be sorely missed.
I hope that once you get to paring down we will be one of those teams you decide worthy to stick with. If there is anything that I can do to be of help to you, please don't hesitate to ask. God bless, Kim

Welcome to the team, Karla. I think many of us did the same thing you have done...joined several teams at the beginning. I too, have weeded out the ones that didn't meet my needs and am now only in about 4 or 5. This is one of my favorite ones. I LOVE to read. Join in the threads with us. Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Karla - welcome to the team. You will find the teams that are important to you as you go along. I did the same thing, then pared them down. I think it is the best way to find the teams that you relate to you the best.

Karla,
Welcome to the team! I also like to quilt in addition to reading and playing with my horses. I, too, joined too many teams when I first started, but then cut it down to the ones that I was truly interested in after a few months.
God Bless, Sno

I might be joining too many teams to keep up with (meaning too much sitting and not enough exercise) but I'm happy to find a group that reads Christian books and relates to God and others like I want to.
I'm married (almost 32 years now) with 2 grown kids that live too far to see much of, and a couple of grandkids too. So I have to entertain myself when I'm not working the long hours I work. So I read on my work breaks and quilt when I can squeeze it in. I also like to garden when the weather is nice. My favorite exercises are walking on the treadmill in the winter & swimming in the summer. I guess over time I'll find out what you guys are into and what you are reading. I'll go to that thread and let you know what I'm reading right now.
Nice to meet you & Blessings to you all! ~Karla
