Hi Bob, welcome to the team! Advice...start slow, don't try to change everything at once and overnight, you will burn yourself out and rebound. I suggest changing a couple things to start with. For instance, if you have trouble with water intake, start there, start replacing the calorie filled drinks with water. I also suggest you log everything you eat/drink, just log how you normally eat, then go back and it will open your eyes to where you are going wrong. Then from there keep up with tracking and water and slowly change your eating habits and exercise. It seems to work the best to be able to stick with the healthy choices in the long run.
Hello my names Bob, I've been following the Spark way for the past few months and lost weight. I'm nearing the autumn of my years and I need to loose about 56lbs. I've recently had a bad bout of work related stress that sent my blood pressure high and created a situation where just eat and eat which affected my cholesterol levels. In all it was a spiralling downward journey for me. I'm now in the throws of a new dawn for me and the journey is fraught with temptations of bad food and old habits. I have taken to walking the dog for most days which really helps listening to music en route and before you know it I've walked for about 75 minutes. My quest and reason for this message is to join the spark community and learn from others to enable a more healthier me, to add extra years to my life all of which I want them to be good years.. So hello all and any advice and encouragement is most welcome. Bob
