Once you have a live account, you can download free demos and the Kinect Labs (which also has free games/apps. I personally find myself working out alot and still manage to put on weight occassionally, but I know what my problem is... I eat out of boredom and habit.
Hi Heather and welcome to the Sp family and this team....glad to have you join us....I've never heard of the Tiger woods game is that for Kinect...if so how is it...do you like it....how often are you using the games you have now...

I have a suggestion to try out if you are a Xbox Live subscriber. Link your Xbox to your Youtube account and try some of the videos SparkPeople has on there. Also sign up for a 28 day challenge on SparkPeople. It's great way to kick start yourself into a workout routine. Plus the dreaded food diary/log on SparkPeople really does help out.
Remember that building up muscles will make you gain weight since it weighs more than fat. :) You need the muscle to burn the fat and boost your metabolism. Yeah, I actually read a lot of the articles on here. :) Good luck and stay strong to your commitment!

HI my name is Heather and I just joined SP today thanks to a friend who gave me the info. I am looking to lose weight big time. As a teenager I was sort of fit....5'6" at 130 lbs. When I turned 19 I got married and found out a was pregnant shortly after. I was on bed rest my entire pregnancy due to complications and I ended up gaining over 134 lbs. After the baby was born I tried to get the weight off, but 6 months later I found out I was pregnant again. With this pregnancy I only gained 10 pounds. After my second daughter was born I tried diets exercise plans, etc. Nothing seemed to happen so I would give up. In 2007 I found out I was pregnant again and 7 months later gave birth to a son. I actually lost weight during his pregnancy because I was never hungry and when I did eat it would come back up.
So here I am in 2012 weighing 205lbs. I am aiming to be 135lbs by September of 2013. I recently bought the XBOX and Kinect with a few games: Sports Two Just Dance Kids Tiger Woods 13 Adventures (Came with it)
I have tried to create a workout to these games but after 2 months of exercising or playing for 2 hours 5 days a week I was actually gaining weight and not losing.
I am hoping that joining this group I can get advise and start to see progress. My family income is very poor so we can not afford to buy more games except when income tax comes round each year so I need to figure out how to make the ones I owe work.
I may not have the money or the equipment, but my determination will help me reach my goals.
