Hi there ... I'm Eda (pronounced with long E and short A - and yes, it's a family name!) and I live in the middle of nowhere outside of Wilder about 4 miles as the crow flies from where I grew up. I am employed full time (plus) as a dispatcher as well as an empty nester/caregiver for my mother. I am a woman of faith, I am a veteran from the Army and I'm the mother of a soldier. I'm big into crafts and I love Pinterest!
I have struggled with my weight most of my life and have only started running, biking and learning to downhill ski since I started Spark People. I'm an emotional eater so ... well, some days are better than others!
I love Spark People ... I blog almost every day. In fact, if I don't blog for a couple of days, there's something amiss in my world. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you along on your journey! I'm always happy to help!

Hi, I haven't been using SparkPeople much and can really tell. I'm now at least 10 lbs. above where I want to be. That's more than I've been in a long time. I know I can lose the weight if I track my food so here I am again. Where are we meeting for Aug.?
I'm Janet. I am a stay-at-home mom of two (10 & almost 8), I homeschool them and I direct a homeschool co-op. I'll have been married for 30 years this October! We started late with a family and then miscarriages moved it even later than hoped.
My history with weight seems as though it has been forever. I know it started with childhood trauma (figured that out a couple of years ago) and my lack of self esteem has followed me throughout time. In October I joined a local gym (Anytime Fitness) and have been meeting with a trainer once a week since that time as well. She's awesome! I am just recently starting to see the scale move downward as I've been working through more issues. It's going to happen!

Hi, my name is Toni. I just recently joined this team and look forward to getting to know you guys. I live in Caldwell and work in Nampa. I joined SP in March of 2012 but did not actually stay actively using SP until May 2012. I have been overweight all of my life. I have been married for 12 years and have a 17 year old and a 3 year old. They both keep me busy. I hope to get to know each one of you. It is nice to know there are some local sparkers out there. It is so nice to know you can turn somewhere for support and motivation when ever you need a shoulder to lean on.
God Bless, Toni
When you think of quitting.....Remember why you started!
Hello! My name is Rachel. I live in Nampa with my very supportive hubby and 10 year old daughter. My grown up daughter lives in Washington State.I currently work part time at Dorsey Music orchestra department fixing violins, violas and cellos (although I do not play bowed string instruments).
I opened my Spark account in 2009 but didn't actually use is until September 2010. I achieved my goal weight earlier this year by losing about 60lbs over 18 months. Yahoo! Now I am finding it incredibly difficult to keep the weight off and have started to slowly gain. I still need the support of SP friends, actually even more now.
I look forward to meeting more of you all out there!
I am not yet where I would like to be, but I am no longer where I was.

My name is Stacey, I live in Nampa Near Roosevelt and Almond. I have been curvy since I was about 9 years old. I have been a member of spark people for about a year and a half. I am glad to have it available. Currently I work part time as a dispatcher/admin/all around office manager for Williams Scotsman - We provide large semi style shipping containers and Mobile offices for Construction Companies, Schools, Farms and Ranches, etc., previous to that and during my first year of Sparking I lost my job due to My employer Lloyd Lumber going out of business. I was depressed, listless, and rode an emotional rollercoaster quite a bit of the time. I'm much better now - things really are looking up. I am a founding member of a local rock band that has been together for 12+ years in the Treasure Valley, but here on Spark I would rather talk about you than that egocentric part of me :). I have a wonderful husband who is my best friend - we have been married now for 22 years, no kids but I have Niece's that I try to spoil. We have a sweet elderly rottwiller girl named Dizzy, a very ornery 10 month old kitten named Yum Yum, or el' Diablo depending on the circumstance and 100 gallon aquarium of koi. I'm in my 40's and I've come to the conclusion that I like to walk, lift weights, dance and ride my bike.
Hi all! I'm a local writer, 2 years in Idaho, and sit in front of a computer screen 12 hours a day (oh the joys of business ownership). While I love my work, I don't love the inactivity that comes along with it. I am one of those on again off again sparkers who really wants to lose weight and then gets too busy to log in or remember to eat or track my food.
Working from home also finds me with few people to socialize with (all my friends live in my computer), so I am always looking to find new friends in the area. I hope to get a chance to chat with everyone at some point. Good luck on your spark travels.
