Dang Claudine, you sound just like me, I thought I was reading something I had wrote I mean everything you said it exactly how my life and weight has been going. I know it's about hormones. I was taking estrogen replacement therapy, a cream you rub on your inner arm and it was working because I was on the pill and I knew I was taking a chance of developing breast cancer which scares me to death because I was on the pill for quite some time but the creams is made from wild yams so I felt better using it. Claudine, girl you taking about menopause, I had a time with it or I definitely wouldn't have been on ERT in the first place. Ok, enough of my rambling I'm going to try and find the challenge emoticon

Hi Donna,

To get in the Summer Challenge. Click on the "Community" tab

Next, Click on "SparkTeams"

Next Click on "Fabulous and Fit 60+ Sparkers"

Then just click on "Summer Workout Challenge"

Hit "Reply" and you start chatting with the group.

And that's it!

Nanabe is Chris, our Team leader.

Sometimes the Team name doesn't show up (under SparksTeam) so just go into "Age Groups", then click on "60's" and scroll down to "Fabulous and Fit 60+ Sparkers"

The Spark site takes a while to get used to. But it's all pretty simple when you get used to it.

I've never seen the 106 members that we supposedly have, mostly there are only 5 of us who post information.

I'm 64 and it is extremely difficult to lose weight, like you said, when we were younger, no problem, but now I have to diet just so I don't gain weight. Yo-Yo dieting my whole life didn't help matters either.

I have to force myself to exercise, once I start, I'm okay, but I'm not your typical athlete who gets up in the morning and says "Gee, what exercise can I do today for sheer joy"

If you have any problems at all getting into the SparkTeam site, let me know. We are a very friendly, encouraging, helpful, motivating and fun group.

Hi Claudine, ha I'm still hanging around. I would love to join you guys on the Summer Challenge but I don't know where it is really. I'm not real good away from FB ;-) I will look around sparks I thought I saw something about a challenge. Thank you for your post.

Hi Donna,

I'm back. I was re-reading your post. I hope you are still with the group. I don't know if anyone other than Maribean and myself have seen your post. Most of our chats are on the Summer Challenge, it would be so nice if you joined us there and told us more about yourself.

You obviously had a great career in ICU and like Maribean said, it's wonderful that you keep reaching out to people. I, for one would love to see your Facebook info on different diseases, especially preventing them.

Hope you stick with us. This is a great Team, we're a small group with lots of dialogue and great input from each member. Chris is our leader, I'm sure you will hear from her soon.

But Do join us in the Summer Challenge discussion group, ok?

Hello and welcome! You've had a great career and it's a really good thing that you're still reaching out to help people.

I'm 67, and can relate to the weight woes! I took myself in hand and counted calories, ate small portions and exercised moderately. I'm still doing this. I've taken off 75 pounds.

You'll find great support and friendship in this group.

Hi guys, I'm 66 years. I think I've gotten over the depression of not working anymore. I worked in cardiac ICU I never thought I would miss it and all the stresses. My daughter put me on Facebook and I played games for awhile then I figured I'd start a group and teach people different diseases processes like diabetes etc. and it did so much for me because I do believe I'm still helping a few people. What really surprised me was all the friend I've made that I've never seen in real life. Love the idea that more Baby Boomers are coming on FB. I started with one now I have six ;-). I main problem though is weight. Of course when I was younger not a big problem although I was always on different diets but I kept the weight down. Now I'm 66 and it seems I have to stay on a diet just to keep from gaining weight. I mean really. I finally went of my low calorie diet of about 3 months, only lost about 12 lbs, went on vacation, came back I had gained 21 lbs. I need help guys '=(
