emoticonMILLS33!! ENJOY YOUR TIME WITH YOUR GRANDMA, THEY ARE VERY PRECIOUS PEOPLE! YOU DON'T REALIZE HOW MUCH OF A "GEM" YOU HAVE TILL THE PASS ON. MY GRANDMA PASSED AWAY, OHHH MY AT LEAST 10 YEARS AGO OR MORE. WHEN I MET MY HUSBAND, HIS GRANDMA WAS STILL LIVING. I WAS ABLE TO SPEND ALMOST 2 YEARS GETTING TO KNOW HER. I KEPT TELLING HIM "CALL OFTEN AND TALK TO HER" (WHICH HE DID), BUT SURE DO MISS HER! SHE PASSED AWAY ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO OR MORE.

I UNDERSTAND WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE "LONELY". I MOVED 3 1/2 HOURS AWAY FROM ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. AFTER BEING HERE FOR 5 YEARS, I FINALLY MADE 2 FRIENDS. ONE IS LIKE A SISTER TO ME. IN FACT MY HUSBAND CALLS HER "SISTER" (HE ONLY HAS ONE BROTHER). BOTH MY HUSBAND AND HIS BROTHER ARE IN WHEELCHAIRS. MY HUSBAND'S BROTHER CAN DO MORE FOR HIMSELF (HE LIVES ALONE, NEVER MARRIED-TOO MEAN!), BUT HIS MOM COMES AND HELPS HIM ALOT. WE LIVE IN THE SAME DEVELOPMENT AND SHE HARDLY BOTHERS WITH US! MAKES IT FOR A DIFFICULT SITUATION! LOOK AT ME RAMBLING!

FEEL FREE TO POST WHEN YOU CAN AND VENT AS OFTEN AS YOU NEED! WE ARE HERE TO LISTEN AND TRY TO HELP IF POSSIBLE.

Welcome to our team :)!
Sorry it took me a while to come by and say hello, today has been a busy day. I imagine it has been a busy day for all of us on this team.

Sounds like we have a lot in common. I turn 32 next sunday, and just celebrated being married ten years last week.
My husband is the one I am caregiver for. He was born with cerebral palsy. While, like your grandma, he is healthy and can do a lot himself, there are a lot of things he needs help with.
Caregiving is not always easy! Feel free to vent any time you need to!
If you can, join us on the main chat thread, we'd love to hear from you!
Becky

Hey everyone - I'm a newbie. I'm 33 years old, married for 10 years and don't have any kids yet - we've been trying since Dec. - but no luck yet.

I live beside my grandmother, who is 79 and look after her. Although I wouldn't change it for the world, sometimes I get lonely, stressed, depressed, you name it. She is fairly good health other than Ole' Arthur. But no one my age knows what it's like not to have a social life because you have other responsibilities - and i am so blessed to have a husband that understands and helps where he can.

Ah well - let me hush before I bore everyone.

Glad that I found this group!

Taking it day by day!
