My name is Jennifer and I have been a caregiver for about to months. My mom and dad had to move in with my family. My mom's health was so bad 2 months ago that we had to put her on hospice. I really thought that she was going to die. She has numerous health issues including her heart, diabetes, nueropathy, gout, lymphedema and the list goes on. My dad also had health issues. He had a stroke and had an aneurysm removed from his brain about 4 years ago. He is fine physically but has a lot of memory issues which I think can sometimes be harder to deal with than the physical limitations. He is capable of doing a lot of things but won't because he states that he can't remember how to do them. When you try to tell him how then he gets angry.

My mom's health has improved so much since moving her in and controlling her diet that it is incredible. We were kicked off hospice last week.

I also have 4 children and my husband is going to school. My children are 13, 11, 5 and 2. Our home is always a busy place. I look forward to finding support and be a support for all of you who are caring for you loved ones.

Jen
