yes, I defiantely understand how stressful that can be and how hard it is to stay on track. Just do the best you can every meal/ day.
Things are gonna happen that will make it so you can't always eat on plan, or exercise as you'd like...at those times, just do the best you can!
My husband is legally blind. The National Library Service is a great place to go to for Books On Tape (it works just like a library, they loan you the tape player and any books you are interested in), and also many states have Newsline available, which is well, the local newspaper over the telephone---. Both of thses services are available for people who are blind or physically challneged.
Also, your local library may have homebound services, where they can actually bring books, or books on tape out to you.
Forgive me here, I don't know if you already knew of these programs or not, I felt I needed to share in case you or someone else didn't.
While they don't take away all the stress, they are helpful. When my husband has to stay home a lot, books on tape are what saves his (and my) sanity!!

Welcome to the team.
I've only been on Sparks for a little over 2 weeks. I did great the first week and bad the second week.
I am a caregiver to my husband of 46 years who has failing kidneys, is diabetic and has very bad knees and has trouble getting around. He will be starting dialysis very shortly too. Also, his 84 year old mother lives with us who is legally blind.
I think the stress is getting to me and I fell off the wagon this past week and gained the 2#'s back again. I also have lower back pain, so it is hard to do the exercises, although I'm trying to walk as much as I can. I'm glad to find this team - I was sure they must have a time for us caregivers. Thanks for listening.
