New to sparkpeople. Just signed up at the begining of November. Am still finding my way around. Thanks to one of your team for the invite. Do like to juice and always looking for new ways to get my vegs (never liked them as a kid - mum cooked the life out of them - didn't know about steaming/juicing until I became an adult). Excited about losing weight. It's weird. First time I don't feel dread at the thought. Like the emphasis on 'lifestyle change and let it happen in it's own time'. Always tortured myself in the past to get to the goal, working out too hard and eating too little and not necessarily liking what I ate. Have a goal to be more of an athlete. Something discouraged by family in childhood. Am 48 & weigh 300 lbs. My goal is to lose 150 lbs total. Seems daunting, so I set the first goal at 50 lbs in 8 months.
