I am checking out SparkPeople for some additional motivation and accountability. I tend to jump into weight loss and fitness goals - starting strong and fading fast. I am a very active person, but have learned genetics and age have not been my friend over the past few years. I have to work harder to lose the weight I gained and I gain very easily. For most of my life, I have been able to eat what I want as long as I maintained my workouts. After gaining 60 pounds over the past 5 years, Inow realize that is no longer true. I have a very stressful job, which has only made making healthy choices more difficult. I know the keys to my success - planning and shopping for healthy meals, eating moderately and exercise. However, stress sometimes gets the better of me. I am ready to feel great - energetic and fit. So, here I go...
