Welcome - you will find lots of support here. You have been through a whole lot and when you make your plan, make sure your plan takes into account your need to heal and to make small, slow changes to ensure you are successful. It takes time to adjust and heal. Having said that, pick one or two things you are pretty sure you can and WILL change and do them consistently until they become habits. You will see results if you work at your plan. Enjoy yourself, have fun on your journey.

I am currently a substitute teacher in Bowling Green, KY. My degree is in Elementary Education, but I have yet to find a position. I went ahead and started my masters in Jan. 2011 after my Dec graduation. My masters will be in Teacher Leadership and an Endorsement in English Second Language. I'm currently taking a break from that and am just focusing on getting more experience. I am learning more Spanish and Arabic. I love teaching and can't wait to have my own room or to be able to work with ESL students. I am a single mom of a gifted 9 yr old and he keeps me very busy. I was always skinny until I became pregnant with him, even though I never realized it until I look back now. I lost over 30 lbs during student teaching, but then gained about 25 back since 2011. I had a few major life changing events happen and apparently I'm an emotional eater. I lost my boyfriend in a car accident and that was the worst thing I could have ever imagined. I have been in a different relationship for awhile and I'm very happy. He is very supportive and I'm finally trying to become more self-confident. My first step in this process was very hard.. to post my real weight. I never tell anyone my weight. I don't wear shorts or a bathing suit. So my goal in all of this is to get back into my old jeans and shorts, then take my son to the beach. I plan to lose 103 lbs in 1 yr. I love Zumba and I want to become an instructor. Later I plan to gradually start alternating walking and jogging, then build to running a 5k. I have problems with cokes and fast food, so I plan to cut those out by starting to limit.
