When we join in on a Team Goal is it automatically tracked?

I noticed something on the Other Goals page that seems to indicate that I need to do something manually for my efforts to be counted for TLL.

I am specifically referring to the Team Goal for water drinking.

I really like how you broke your goals into different types of well being. Great idea

One goal I have is to take care of myself and be healthy for another year of teaching :
What I did today toward that goal
Spiritual - prayed and read (me time)
Physical - drank 10 glasses of water
Emotional - hugged the gkids
Mental - read some articles re teaching strategies

I am huge into goal setting. I like the sense of accomplishment when I can check them off each day. If I don't set goals during a break from school, I feel like I frittered away the time. I just overall feel better having direction in my life rather than just drifting about.

Does anyone have a written fitness plan? I just listened to a video about writing out a weekly fitness plan. I think I need to do this so I know what I am planning to do each day. What do you all think?

Borrowed from a wise friend:

Why you must set a goal to get to where you want to be!

You can't go anywhere without a goal... When there's no purpose there's no interest... without interest there's no ambition... and without ambition you have nothing!

I guess you could become an Olympic couch potato. Picture this... The Olympic theme playing in the background, your coach rubbing your shoulders, Remote control ready ...and set... The thumb serves a massive volley on the remote control and in record time... you've changed the channel!

A life without purpose is like having a television with only 2 channels... you know there could be so much more but you're content with the 2 channels because you have no set plans to change your life. This is where cable and internet come in... Now you have lots to do! The same thing applies to life! You have to have something to do or you'll loose interest in life!

This is how goals work for you. Goals are dreams that when written down act as the starting place to where you want to go The purpose of a goal is to focus your attention. You'll formulate a plan of attack. You'll know exactly where you want to end up and your plan then will be put into place! Your mind will reach toward achievement only when it has a goal.

There are no achievements without goals. You won't know what to do next, you'll get confused because you won't know what to do! You'll end up returning to the place we all know best... Comfort land... the place where we go to for comfort and security... This place has comfort food, snacks, chips, dip, pop, chocolate, etc etc... and the reason is because we didn't plan our next steps towards... you guessed it... A Goal!

Now is the time to establish a goal worth working for. Your goal will keep you going in tough times, good times, all times because the goal keeps you on track! It gives you something to concentrate on and it keeps you headed in the right direction! A goal keeps our on course and the goal is designed to always have something ahead of you. Continuously visualize your next step. Keep moving after you achieve your goal and set another.

Your small steps will keep guiding you towards your goals! It gives your life purpose! It will keep you on the move...

Great News... Now you'll know what you want to do to better your life... You'll find a goal worth pursuing and you'll put those small steps to work for you and find your goals! Isn't it wonderful!

All you had to do was to give up being an Olympic couch potato!...

On to bigger, better things... I knew that you could do it! Your coach said you have great potential!... I knew it all along!

Have a great week... emoticon emoticon
