My name is Stacy and I am a third grade teacher. I taught for six years then took a five-year break to stay at home with my daughter. Last year was my first year back in the teaching saddle.
During my teaching hiatus, I lost 80 lbs and became an active 5k runner. When I went back to teaching, though, I found it difficult to juggle everything and still find time to take care of myself. I let my running fall to the wayside and turned to food for comfort and stress relief. Needless to say, the pounds have crept back up and now I'm back at the starting line again.
I KNOW how to make good choices, but my head and heart have just not been in the right place until now. I'm hoping I can find motivation and momentum with SparkPeople- So far so good!
