thank you for taking this group on. When I first joined this group I did think it was Self we were talking about. It was just recently that I realized that is was S.E.L.F....That is a good magaizine with lots of motivations etc. but that should not be the focus of a group itself I think..

Hello Team!

My name is Shannon and I have been an on again off again Spark member since Feb. 2008. I was "away" for awhile and came back and noticed the team did not have a leader. I checked my mountain of e-mail and noticed the team had been without a leader for some time.

I thought to myself, I should sign up to take on the position. Then I noticed this team was dedicated to SELF magazine and I couldn't remember joining a group focused on magazine articles when Spark has so many great ones already here.

I then thought, this team should represent SELF, as, we, the individual. After all, we joined Spark out of self love and over all health improvement, weight loss, diet, exercise and general well being.

I decided I would take the challenge as Team Leader and rededicate our team to you, me, and we. This team is about Self.

We are gathered together to learn more about ourselves and to love ourselves as we celebrate our individual being.

My hope is that as a group, we all grow individually and discover true loving relationships with ourselves.

We can share personal stories, jokes, humility, gratitude and positive feedback with each other because as we grow ourselves into the people we want to become we in turn help others grow too.

Buddha said it best, "You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection."
