That's a good idea to sprout wings and fly south! My pets: love birds, cockatiels, canaries and a quaker parrot could fall in formation with me and flying would be such good cardio.
The picture is of an ice sculptue of an outhouse, it is to remind me that winters in Canada are tough but not nearly as bad as a few generations ago - let alone what the pioneers faced.
The city keeps 1 trail shoveled so I try to get a bit of outside cardio I even roller blade when it's above freezing, cadio for the pioneers would be chopping wood, or chopping a hole in the ice on the lake for water brrr!

When a man says he is going to do smething (like lose weight) he's going to do it. You don't need to remind him every 6 months!

The trick to losing weight is you've got to sprout wings and fly south with them.

Is that an ice sculpture of an outhouse? Or just an outhouse covered in ice?

I know a woman who published a book of pictures of outhouses...this would be one to add to her collection.

Walking the new doggie...get in several miles that way, although not always aerobic. Come to think of it I will have to do this is the spring, summer and fall.

If you are counting like that, I must have lost several hundred pounds by now, but not at the same time! LOL

Currently seem to be losing the same 5 pounds over and over.

Hi CholesterolKid! LOVE the title of this thread! Welcome to Sparkpeople! Hopefully this will be the LAST time!

I love winter activities. Anything you can do in the snow I do. Downhill skiing, telemark skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ice skating, even making snow angels. But I have to say, I've never tried rollerblading in the snow!

Day 3 and I am streaking with my exercise program AND I drank several glasses of water at the all you can eat buffet today so that's gotta be good. What is everyone's favourite cold weather activities? I try to roller-blade all year round the city keeps a trail snow free, it's kind of funny watching me start in winter - my legs are stiff and the bearings in the skates have to warm up before they roll properly. I'm ready to "get up get out get into something new" as the Stones would sing.
