Truecolors. We understand about how busy one can be - we really do.

The time you spend on Spark is totally up to you ..... However, the visits to Sarcastics Unlimited are for your relaxation, enjoyment and elucidation.

After a visit here, you can return to your busy life relaxed and refreshed . Mainly because you can let your needle out and burst some ones balloon.

As you can see, I'm not very popular at the birthday parties of the little kids in my neighborhood.

Thanks for the "MOD" awhile back. This "girl" is so busy with school and work she doesn't have as much time for SP as she would like. This Floridian transplant originally from SD does love the attention and appreciates it so much! TY! Ty! ty! :-)

Well, you can always give some 'after the fact' Goodies, since they may not be eligible for the new competition...

Of course that would depend on just how much begging they do--and the decision of the Panel of Judges--cause if they're funny, we're easy.

a blatant rip-off from a post I saw on the Team for Team Leaders forums. Why re-invent the wheel when you can swipe one? Hmm...come to think of it, I haven't gotten any emails from that team lately. Bitter much?

She's 40-something, got good genes, has many loves--including banana slugs. She's got lots of favorite fragrances and colors. She's pretty damn cool--once you get to know. Just ask her if you don't believe me. And I think you will like her middle name.

I want to know if her family came from somewhere close to Munchen (Munich), where they have the longest bar in the world and drink German Bier by the LITER!

Real German bier is about 7% alcohol rather than the 3.2 of American Beer.

Back in the "good old days", one American dollar was worth four German Marks. One mark bought a bier, tax included. Young American soldaten "soldiers" could get absolutely hammered for $2 bucks.

On the other hand, Americanish damen could get hammered on a buck - there were no foo-foo drinks at Octoberfest.

The strange thing about German Bier was that after two, regardless of how few words you spoke of German, you could have some of the most profound conversations with any native.

Germans descended from the Prussians knew me for my droll wit and dry sense of humor. Along with my lack of hesitation when it came to sarcasm, I kept them in stitches. I'd buy my first bier, then couldn't pay for another the entire night.

I really liked the German people - they were happy drunks. I never met a mean or maudlin one the entire time I was in Germany.

Ah, the bachelor memories.

Today's Member of the Day thinks we should never regret a day in our lives.

She likes motorcycles, but apparently is not into thrill rides because she wants to get off the roller coaster.

I'm pretty sure I've figured out why she is happy...she likes alcohol and especially beer.

She's of German extraction. So be sure and deliver a nice Goodie to her at www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=HA

so she'll be willing to put us all up in Nashville during Oktoberfest.

Are we flying or taking the train? We need some lead time to get the best travel rates.

Nope. Ain't no way I'm sending this dude ANYTHING.

There can only be one reason he's on here, well, two.

Number one: He's put his bod up there to intimidate those men who have not looked like that since their 20's - that being more than twice that many years in the past.

The second is that this guy must have some sort of body dysmorphia and he's trying to get some cute lady to "adopt" him and tell him how awesome he is.

My guess is that he has relationship problems.

Am I jealous because of how fit he is? No - I'd have to be back in my twenties to feel a twinge of envy. But in my 20's I could have kicked his bass, so all of those bulging muscles really mean nothing at all.

Rriigghhtt!

Alright, trying super hard to be all-inclusive here, but this guy makes it difficult.

This 30-something body builder from Long Island, New York with the elaborate tattoo on his back probably doesn't need our Goodies, or anything else! But when was the last time we allowed logic to prevail?

Don't ask me what he's doing here at SparkPeople, because I'm sure he doesn't even know how to spell flab. So we're sure to annoy this Yankees fan who loves both cooking and exercise equipment by dumping Member of the Day Goodies at www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=FI

Another friend from up north (Ontario way) emoticon where according to her they have two seasons...winter... and July.

We may have to get a group together to go on a mission of mercy--euthanasia is in order for this 40-something, "happily married" woman "with one daughter and love my job..." She is dying of terminal cheeriness. Especially when I find that this daughter is a teenager. So who's signing up as a ride-along?

Until we can get the roadtrip organized, let's at least drop off some MotD Goodies at www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_teams.asp

The MOD for the 22nd made me tired just reading everything she was involved in. But a Mom of two young girls is by definition busy. I gave the girl's Dad a hard poke in the ribs.

I have never heard of 'Black Dog Syndrome" until today's MOD mentioned it. My Doberman was mostly black and my Black Lab was ..... all black. My Beagle had some black, but my collie had none.

For some reason, my cat's have been black (Licorice [girl] and Bear [boy]) or gray (Cat [definitely boy] and Spooky [girl]). Can't claim I'm 'Pet Prejudiced'!

Plus, she's less than an hour from my brother in Lincoln and there is always the aforementioned Runza...

Okay, I'm going to forgive today's MotD for being from Omaha, even though I'm sure she has eaten a Runza or two.

She's obviously got a sense of humor when she titles her blog entries with things like "Parents Understand Why Some Animals Eat Their Young..." Pretty sure you'll agree when you find out how creative her children are at:

She's a classically trained chef and studied pastry-making in Paris. In her own words: "Ooh La la!" Despite that, she and her husband own a quick-serve eatery specializing in Chicago street food. They have 2 daughters ages 5 and 2. Nuff said!

Maggie, my grandmother taught me to read when I was three. When I was four, she gave me a subscription to Reader's Digest and when it came, the first thing I would go to after 'Humor in Uniform" and another humor column was the 'Word's quiz. If I didn't get 100%, I would take their definition AND go to the dictionary for more examples.

Sometimes, those words just leak out. At other times, I can use some of those words as a second rapier to my sarcasm.

I used to be fairly smart - but this year I happened to catch the Scripp's National Spelling Bee finals. Not only could I not pronounce some of the words they had to spell, in the Championship round I had never even heard of the word. I guess I need to go back to elementary school just to keep up with these youngun's.

Today's MoD is one of 'those' busy senior citizens, at least according to one of the teams she leads she is 60+. She's a triple threat, leading 3 teams. What I really liked is all the games she creates for her teams. Guess who will be returning to her SparkPage and raiding her Recent Message Board Posts link. Shhh!

Well, this "girl" is just crying out for our services. She had a birthday sometime back in June (judging by all the 'belated birthday' comments on her page.) Well, that's all fine and dandy, but it's about time to 'get over it.' Our Goodie spams should chase all those stale Birthday Goodies off the screen.

40-something Floridian or South Dakotan (I'm leaning towards the east coast, since she belongs to 2 Florida teams) likes reading, watching tv/movies, walking the dog, and 3 sports teams. Huh? Whatever happened to REAL WOMEN? (Just kidding! Do not send nasty SparkMails to my box.)

Vivacious Vivian of Virginia has been virtually victimized with various valuable, vintage victuals!

Okay...I bow to Popeye's wisdom. It is very hard to get these low-scoring "not winners" to come out and play. And a lot of their SparkPages don't give me much to highlight.

Yeah...Day 6 was the highlight, and the past 41 days have been downhill...So glad Bojo turned out to be true to our teams allegiance. Maybe these others signed up hoping to learn our skills. Sarcasm is not a skill, it's a talent!

So gonna try to pick on some more-active members and spam them. If nobody comes out to play by the end of the month, I may have to give up my mission.

Alright, so let's move to the positive--today's Member of the Day is...drumroll, please...GRAMMIE1959, aka Vivian!

She lives in Virginia, married with two sons and two granddaughters, comes from a family of eight, and actually LIKES her parents. Stranger things have happened...I'm sure of it.

Vivian aspires to become newsworthy for a reason other than her dad's aunt's claim to fame.

Hey, I think one of those Gazelles would be fun...trying to sedate my green-eyed monster. She struggles between the darker and lighter sides. (Ya learn so much by studying other's teams.)

Put your Goodies in a basket, don your red riding hood, and deliver them to Grammie at www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=GR

80's were teen years for you? I've been married almost as long as you've been alive!

And you sounded so much more mature, young lady.

Well, that just shows what happens when one is older than dirt. It has affected my short term memory - I did (once) know you were a youngster, but I forget - that is until I just remembered.

So, I remembered what I forgot to remember after I forgot it, does that mean it's Alzheimer's?

Does she like horror or 80's music more? It doesn't really matter because she dresses up in both genres equally well.

Ralking - that's interesting - I ralk with my dog all the time. Every time we see a squirrel or bunny we run and then walk again and then take momentary breaks for watering of various trees and flowers of course.

Who knew?

Well, Deb, obviously, but other than her?

Deb is not a woman defined by a number on a scale or the size of her pants. Well, that's good, cause we've all been there, done a lot of stuff, and bought the horse we rode in on. Did I get a metaphor or two mixed up?

She's a runner, a former smoker, and (I'm sure this will rile somebody up--it's just like talking politics or religion) a NY Giants fan.
emoticon emoticon emoticon
While she's a prolific blogger, I couldn't easily discern what 'ralking' is...but she likes it a lot.

One of her favorite sayings is, "Man plans…God laughs." emoticon We can all use a good laugh, so at least we're in good company.

Bojo, in your secret heart you must certainly be a Romantic.

I remember exactly what I was doing in the year 30. I was trying to track down all those Apostles and trying to see why their stories didn't match. Never could find some of them.

It was to be many years later when I overheard Cardinal Medici mumble, "It has served us well - this religion". Not that I think Popes and Cardinals ever made up things as they went along. The Old Testament had too many copies for them to screw with. When they chose to pick and chose which Apostles testimony to include in the New Testament, I got this feeling in my left rear pocket, just as I do with Used Car salesmen.

None of the peasantry could speak Latin - so why were all Catholic priests babbling along in Latin? Hey, my DW and I spoke Pig Latin when our sons ears got too big. Confused them, too.

I looked ALL over WICKEDMELISSA's SparkPage and couldn't find a single wicked thing about her. In fact she even says nice things about us, her Spark Family. At least I think she means US...maybe not.

I mean she talks about things like "happy, relax, joy, healthy, amazing, and help." Seriously?

Today's SUMotD is a California college student with a magnolia tattoo. Think it's you?

Are you from the East Bay Area? I see a few hands dropping out of the competition.

Do you love water sports? Eliminating a couple more...Music lover with favorite bands including Led Zeppelin, The Killers, Pitbull, and Death Cab for Cutie? I still see about six hands in the air.

Female named Rachel? Okay...down to two possibilities. Go to www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=RG

Today's MoD is married with two grown children. This 40-something from South Dakota, loves her some emoticon kitties and doggies emoticon .

She finds that exercise and cleaning can be used as tools to avoid eating. I think hitting your thumb with a hammer and banging your head against the wall will also be beneficial. Which combination do you feel would be most useful?

Head on over to www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=GR

Whoa!

I haven't seen something more inspirational on the beach since the 1960's

Since I got married, I've been conditioned to NOT look at anything that inspirational (but hey, that's what wrap-a-round sunglasses are for - you DOM).
