Being prepared was my biggest advantage when I went through a jammed schedule for a couple years. You know you are going to end up grabbing a meal at a fast food place on occasion - so take the time to look up the nutritional info at each place you might hit. I looked up the top two choices I could grab at any of them when I needed a fast meal rather than no meal (which is horrible for your metabolism). I was shocked to find that often the healthiest items were NOT the salads. I don't grab fast food much any more - and NEVER crave it like I used to - but when I do grab some, I know I haven't blown my nutrition for the day.

Hi. I'm a busy mom of 4 kids. I work a full time job and a part time job and between all that I've really let myself pack on the pounds! I want to loose weight in order to be a healthy example for my children. I'm going to start by exercising and staying away from fast food! I love using sparkpeople for motivation because in the past I've lost sight of my goals very easily. I'm going to stay on track this time because I want to be around to see my kids all grown up.
