Hi , I'm glad you're back. I too have fallen into the busy schedule of being mom. But today I picked up that rope and started jumping. It's so easy to get busy and let ourselves go. Your message was good for me to hear and wow 2000 jumps . i'm impressed and motivated ,, thanks

Hello everyone and I have been jumping rope for about a year off and on. I desire to get back on board and join this team in hopes to stay a little more committed. My 12 yr old son would jump with me and we had gotten up to 2000 jumps. We would add 100 every night. Yes, we were jumping every night. It was very very hard at times. My son could be a personal trainer because he would have no mercy on his mom. Well when his sports started back up I fell off due to all of the running around. I am going to start back up today doing my 100. I will take the advise of one of the team members and not overdue it.

Hi, welcome,
I was told to start with 100 jumps and add to it everyday. I did 3 sets of 100 jumps my first day and boy i felt it the next day. If you haven't jumped in a while my advise is to start out slow . you'll feel like you could do more. But it's a bunch of muscle you haven't used and breaking in easy is best. Make sure you have good sneakers and a semi soft surface to jump. I love it though ... it gets your heart rate right up there fast.. I've also jumped about 5-7 minutes and then hit the treadmill for about 20-30. I hope you find this helpful . GOOD LUCK. Have fun jumping off the pounds!

I jumped 7 mins. today and i jump in my drive way. Not so good. I tried the yard and the rope gets caught in the grass. there's no way i can do it in my house. i'm thinking i'll buy some of those spongey squares they sell for the floor. I saw some at harbor frieght. it's alot harder on my back then i thought it would be. and my calves felt it the next day. But i do enjoy it . it sure gets your heart rate right up there FAST. good luck

Hello everyone. I'm another new team member. My name is Jackie. I actually joined Friday I think but didn't get a jump rope until last night. I plan to start jumping tonight. I read not to jump on concrete. Can you jump in the yard? Otherwise my only other option is in my family room which has carpet over hardwood floors. Are most of you jumping daily? 100 to start then add how many each time? I do have issues with one of my ankles catching so I'm hoping I can jump. We'll see tonight I guess.

I just joined spark people this week. My sister got me started and I've got to say this has been a great way to be accountable to someone while trying to get healthy. looking forward to taking the challenge. CYA ,AMY
