Hi! Thanks for having me. I have just posted my goals. It is lower than everybody else's but I have to see how my body responds to this challenge. If I don't experience any heel pain this month , I will double my jump next month. I have to see how this month goes. I'm doing well so far on this 3rd day of jumps

Hi Jenith! Any questions, you can ask in the team forums and you can join the monthly challenge to improve your progress, too :D Make sure you warm up and jump in proper form and stretches after jumps (It's same with any workout to avoid injury).

Hi! I'm Jenith from New Jersey. I've never jumped before. I've always walked, never ran, but I'm excited to start jumping rope. I know I have to start t a lower level and see how it goes. I had heel pain before but since I got the right shoes I' ve been doing better. I'm ready to start new things.

Welcome to the team, Karen! I'm so happy for a new member who want to jump!
I've seen the youtube video before, I love the way the guy jumps and like you said, light on his feet! I found his video when I was looking for new ways to jump :D He also has post some jump rope workouts, "Simple Skipping Workout" series, you can modify them based on your level :D

Hi Karen, I'm Liz from Las Vegas, Nevada. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Moved out of state about 22 years ago. Boy do I miss the beach! You are right about jump roping, it is fun, cheap and addicting. I have learned to warm up,first. I injured myself by not doing that. It took 3 weeks to be able to jump,again. Welcome to the team and have lots of fun! emoticon

Hey everyone. I'm Karen from California. emoticon I'm a nearly 56 year old wife, mom and gramma who is determined to lose all the excess weight THIS YEAR!! For too long my weight has yo yo'd up and down and now that I'm getting up in years, I can see just how damaging that can be to your body! It's time to take charge and whip it once and for all. LOL!

Why jump roping? Why not??!! It's cheap, well, that was until I discovered some really nice ropes that make jumping fun again! It's great cardio. You can stop and go all day long for a minute or two and really get a thorough workout. And it's fun! When I decided to exercise again, I didn't want anything boring or expensive or that forced me to go somewhere to do it. I can pack up my rope and jump literally anywhere! And there are so many different things you can do with the rope, I can't really see myself being bored. I do remember all the jump roping I did as a kid and I loved it! (no wonder I wasn't fat until I was a teenager!!)

Then a few weeks back I found Bloom To Fit on YouTube. This man can JUMP!! He's light on his feet and goes and goes and goes. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZX-NdILjBWY It's where I see myself one day.... light on my feet, turning that rope quickly and being able to jump for minutes at a time. (right now a minute is killing me!! Wow, I"m out of shape!)

Can't wait to meet all of you here and join in your challenges!
