Welcome to the team (it's belated wish, hehe)

I much prefer jump barefoot on carpet but sometimes feel like I have carpet-burn, haha. I tried once jump rope on grassy area with my sport shoes and man, it was different than my usual jumping. So, Juice, take it slow, no need to rush head along even though you might manage to do just 10 (I have experienced this, frustrated at that time then just laugh when I remember about it).

I'm Juice. And I just started jumping. I only do 10 minutes a few times a week for now, and when I do, I don't jump the whole 10 minutes...I am 220 lbs at 5'7", and my knees will not be happy if I jump too much.
So I walk in place to warm up for a few minutes, jump for 15-30 seconds, walk for 30-60 seconds.
And so far I haven't face planted.
But I prefer to jump barefoot on carpet...shoes just seem to get in the way.
Anyone jump barefoot? I land on the balls of my feet anyway (that sentence originally came out as "I land on my balls anyway" emoticon ), so the impact isn't too bad. Keep the knees and hips springy...

Glad to join the team!
