I just started jumping too! I read an sp article on it and was inspired to start it up. I have been training this last week and I think I am getting better. My rope is a little short but I hope to get a new one soon.

This is a cool group and I look forward to getting to know every one.

I just started jumping this past week. My kids are impressed that I even know how. I think when you're little you're under the impression that your generation are the ones that invent these kind of things.(smile) I tried to show off a bit for my youngest. Oh my goodness! My butt is killing me and I only did 400 jumps! emoticon

I bought the 3 in 1 jump rope too with the weights in the handles, and I just fixed it to my height the other day but haven't gotten a chance to use it yet, school is hectic right not ;)

Hey there! I'm also new and I just bought a jump rope [3 in 1 style] so I can add weights to the handle... I haven't started yet, but I plan on trying it tonight if I can get my bf to take my daughter for a while...

Hello ... I'm new to all of this and just learning how to find my way around and use the message boards ... I like this board and plan on buying a jump rope on pay day which is Thursday and then I would like to start jumping with all of you if that's o.k. emoticon

I just started recently myself and you are right- it is a lot harder than I remember. I am planning to do 100 jumps a day for a week and work up from there. I can't do 100 in a row yet but hopefully by the end of the week. I did 50, 30, and 20 this morning with a very short break between each set- maybe 10 second break.
